Setup and Objective:

There was a wooden stand placed in the sign in area where flash cards of numbers- 1 to 5 were hung with the help of ribbons and wooden clips. The dot flashcards were divided and kept with the educators. There was also a trampoline kept in the art area.

The objective of this activity was for the children to match the dot flashcards with the number flashcards. This activity helped the children to strengthen their number sense and counting skills. This activity was also a soft introduction of circuit games to the children.

How it happened:

There were two teams. The children were divided between the two teams. Two educators were in the play area with their teams and two educators were in the sign in area. When the children got the dot flashcards, they counted and ran to the sign- in area where the wooden stand was placed to match it with the number flashcards. The educators there helped the children to hang the dot flashcards with wooden clips. Some children also jumped on the trampoline as per the number they got. Every child got two chances, in the first round where they had to match numbers from 1 to 5. In the second round, some children got more than two chances where they had to match numbers from 6 to 10. All the children seemed to enjoy this activity a lot. After the activity got over, the children helped in the cleanup.
