Welcome to Day 4 of ClayTales! Our Arthlings have harnessed the creative power of clay to tell their stories! They must now settle on a final form for their ClayTale.

PLANNING AND SETUP

Building My ClayTale: Moist clay was divided and kept ready for use. Trays were arranged with wooden stamps, silicone moulds, leaves, twigs, shells, rollers, string, wooden knives, safety scissors, and cookie cutters. Jute sacks were provided as a surface to work on. Rectangles of brown card were kept ready to make bases for the children’s ClayTales.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The children were greeted with fresh lumps of moist clay for use. Each Arthling cycled through various elements before settling on a final idea!
The class saw a whole menu of clay food. Dhriya made cupcakes, while Rishit and Nitara made maggi. Divit, Hazzel, Rishit, and Ruhani made pizza, but Divit, Hazzel, Nitara, Rishit, and Vaanya also made ice cream! Nitara made a criss-cross pattern for her cone with Drishti Didi.
There was also plenty of non-food inspiration! Maryam created a fountain, located in a garden and decorated with flowers. Parth made a cow that finished as a car! Hazzel, Shivanyaa, and Vaanya finally settled on gardens. Divit and Meher used cutters to make shapes, after which Divit made a house with stars and hearts!
