The setup for this activity

 


SETUP AND OBJECTIVE

The setup was simple. In a big brown cardboard paper the result of some math problems were written in a haphazard manner using chalk. In strips of paper some math problems were made which were kept with the facilitator. The math problems included addition, subtraction and even multiplication. The facilitator had called out the problems to the participants and they did the calculations in their separate sheets of paper provided to them. After they got their answer, they would jump on the matching number written on the cardboard paper. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

The participants were divided into different teams. They were very excited to participate in the activity. All of them calculated correctly and jumped on the resultant numbers. There was competition among the participants because there was only one number of each problem on the cardboard and the participants had to be quick enough to stand within the marked box. Some of them were fast enough to calculate the formula mentally while the rest of them used the sheets. But all of them calculated correctly and played the activity
